Constructing Tina Freeth

Hearty - images of Mom - Constructing Tina Freeth

I collaborated with image-maker Elaine Brambil from Birmingham City University's Visual Communications department to produce an illustrative version of my childhood years. I provided the narrative (in the form of fragmented memoir) to accompany Elaine's illustrations.

Children's Book Editor and Narrative Consultant

Blythie''s Really Rubbish Adventure - Clare McKenna

I have been acting as narrative consultant and editor to BCU student illustrators James Lloyd (The Whale That Swallowed the Anchor) and Clare McKenna (Blythie's Really Rubbish Adventure).

The Lonely Lemon

The Lonely Lemon - Chiu K. Man and Tina Freeth

The Lonely Lemon is an experiment with images and text. Inspired by eight illustrations provided by artist Chiu Kwong Man. I wrote a first draft of the story (which can be read on Chiu's site - My EYE Is On Fire). Chiu's family then used my story as inspiration for a collaborative drawing exercise.

My intention is to write a series of short stories featuring Hong Kong using the  photographs taken by artist Jorge Lizandra as a starting point.
