19th July - Silk Screens Extravganza!

The BBC and Emergency Exit Arts (EEA) are holding a huge outdoor event called SILK SCREENS from 12-6pm on Saturday July 19th  to celebrate the British Chinese community. It will be held simultaneously in four cities - London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow. The Birmingham venue will be in Victoria Square (near Town Hall/Council House). The event will consist of two elements: films about the British Chinese community shown on a big outdoor screen and live events.
I will be appearing as the Chinese goddess of compassion and mercy - Guan Yin (aka Kuan Yin) and my BBC Videonation film 'Adopted Identity' will be one of the featured films (see below!).  We hope you and your family and friends would be able to join in the fun in one of the four cities.
